Lavern's Wedding Chapel
Once called the wedding capital of Oklahoma, you can get married here as fast as you can in Las Vegas, although Elvis probably will not perform the ceremony. In business since 1954, Lavern's is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located at 15 B Street SE. To tie the knot, call (918) 542-4806.
Spooklight
Some eyes have witnessed the mysterious spooklight found on Devil's Promenade Road on the old Quapaw Indian Reservation near the Missouri border. The strange light has yet to be explained scientifically. Folks say mid-summer is the best viewing time.
